What is windshield repair?
Windshield repair is a process that utilizes modern technology to repair, rather than replace a damaged windshield.
An injection of specially formulated resin is applied to the affected area. When the damaged area has been completely filled, it is exposed to an ultraviolet light which cures the resin. This restores 100% of the structural integrity and, in most cases, most of the clarity within the damaged area.
The repair provides a strong bond that prevents further cracks and improves the cosmetic appearance. It does not affect the integrity of the original factory seal since the glass is never removed. You keep your original quality glass.

How will the windshield look after the repair?
Chip repair is primarily done for one reason - to prevent the damage from spreading. While in many cases, you will see cosmetic improvement, the original damage may still be visible to some degree.
The type of damage, including the age of the damage and any contamination to the break, can affect how visible the repaired area is.
Regardless of the outcome, YOUR CHIP REPAIR IS GUARANTEED - if you don't like the result, or the damage spreads, WE WILL APPLY THE COST TO A NEW WINDSHIELD on the same day, or a year later.

What if it cracks?
If the damage ever spreads after a repair, we will credit the full amount paid to a new windshield.
The chances of damage spreading during the repair is small (about 1 in 500) - if damage spreads during your repair, we will discount a new windshield by the agreed price of the chip repair. If you used insurance, we will credit your the amount of your deductible requirement.
